Debt is destructive. It affects family relationships. It affects health. It can be very isolating.

You may think your situation is impossible, but there is hope.

Holy Trinity has partnered with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) to provide a Debt Centre for the people of Frome and surrounding area. CAP is a debt charity that was founded in 1996 and is based in Bradford in West Yorkshire.

This free service is offered to anyone living within the BA11 postcode areas who is struggling with unmanageable debt.

Phil Gray is our Debt Centre Manager, supported by a team of volunteers who walk alongside their clients throughout the process of becoming debt free.

The debt advice is provided by the CAP Head Office team who have established good working relationships with banks, financial institutions, utility companies and enforcement agencies. Through one of the various options to get out of debt, they see over 2,500 clients become debt free every year. That is 6 people who become debt free every day!

Through a series of structured home visits, the manager and the volunteers gather all the information needed to find the correct route out of debt for each individual client and once it is formulated by the Head Office, they will present it to their client for approval.

How can I get help?

To get help from our Debt Centre all potential clients are asked to telephone the CAP Head Office to register and their details will be entered onto the computer system and the Frome Debt Centre alerted.

The free phone number is 0800 328 0006
